The Story... I started this triptych painting 11 years ago in 2013! A number of life events left me feeling like my dream to be an artist was dead. Then during the pandemic when life was stripped back to the bare essentials, I took a leap and started painting again. Through muddy paint washes I noticed roots, branches, leaves and flowers slowly emerging. This painting acted as the unfolding story of my life that the dream was not forgotten, rather it had been planted and soon a time would come when growth and flourishing would be noticed.Â
May this art remind you to be committed to the process of growth. Perhaps what you've had to sacrifice was not an end but a beginning to new life.
This is an original painting made with acrylic paint and graphite on cotton canvas. It is fixed with a UV protectant.
